Nordstrom Is Selling A Rock In A Pouch For Close To $100 And The Internet Is Losing It

(PCM) People on the internet can not seem to wrap their minds around the fact that high-end retailer Nordstrom is currently selling a rock wrapped in a leather pouch for the hefty price of $85. It truly serves no useful purpose and that is just point.

Perhaps they are trying to cash in on that old Pet Rock nostalgia? On the company website it is listed under “Medium Leather Wrapped Stone” and the description is even better. It reads as follows “A paperweight? A conversation piece? A work of art? It’s up to you, but this smooth Los Angeles-area stone—wrapped in rich, vegetable-tanned American leather secured by sturdy contrast whipstitching— is sure to draw attention wherever it rests.”

It’s as if they already knew just how ridiculous this product actually is and they are just rolling with it to see just how many they will actually sell. It also further proves the point that people will spend money on just about anything. Wondering how many gift lists this will end up on just because?

The gloried “Pet Rock” has been available on the Nordstrom website since early November, but has just now gained a ton of popularity mostly due to the hilarious customer reviews. Here are a few gems:

“All my fears were dispelled as soon as I held my very own beautiful stone. It was perfect.”

“I had purchased a Small Leather Wrapped Stone last Christmas for my brother-in-law and he loved it. He’s not a bad guy, but I don’t really like him much, so the wife and I try to not invite them over too often.”

“When I read the design embodied both ‘simplicity and functionality,’ I thought there was no way this could be achieved. Bt when I finally got my hand crafted, leather wrapped rock, I was astonished. It really was completely simple yet functioned perfectly. In fact, I’ve never owned a rock that could function better [than] this product. Does everything a rock is supposed to do even with this leather covering. I mean everything! Definitely worth the cost.”

“I told my husband I was going to be a rock in a pouch today as a conversation piece and asked why? I told him because we don’t have one.”

Something tells us that all of these “glorious” stones will be sold out before Christmas even gets here!  If you want to get your hands on one we suggest getting your order in early … because you know there is sure to a supply shortage of rocks in the near future and all!
