See You Next Wednesday

SYNW2001(PCM) “See you next Wednesday” was first heard in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Oddyssy. It was said to the astronaut, Frank Poole, by his wife and father, right before Hal killed everybody off. Frank was long gone by that referenced Wednesday.

John Landis claims he originally had the movie idea as a fifteen year old, in 1965, but the film has never actually been made. He has said that he purposely referenced his unmade film, “See You Next Wednesday” several times in his feature films.

We have listed the references we’ve found so far below.

Spider Lives in Woman’s Ear Canal

(PCM) Now here is a story that is terrifyingly reminiscent of campy B-horror movies.

In China, a woman known only as Ms. Lee, went to China’s Changsha Central Hospital  after complaining about itching in her ear. To all surprise and horror, X-rays revealed that a spider had been living in her ear canal for up to 5 DAYS!

Ms. Lee said that she was recently renovating a new home, and had fallen asleep. When she awoke, she started to feel the itching. Although it is extremely rare for spiders to crawl into ear canals, it does make some sense for why it could happen. Philip Koehler, an entomology professor at the University of Florida said that “The insects are probably entering the canal as harborage, for heat, and/or for moisture...

Sex Bracelets and Their Color Meanings…

What Do The Jelly Sex Bracelet Colors Mean?

(PCM) Many people have inquired about the latest fad supposedly going on in in colleges, high schools, even middle schools!

This story has been going around since 2003, thanks to some rumours in Marion County, Florida , and periodically re-discovered by school principals, local communities, civic organizations and even some churches, giving some busybodies something new to worry about.

Jelly Bracelets!

Those jelly ‘sex bracelets’ from the 1980′s are still being used today, but they have a completely different purpose than when Cyndi Lauper and Madonna wore them.

This new social phenomenon involves “snapping” the bracelet off the wearer, the game is called ‘SNAP!” of course – enabling the snapper to earn a s...

Biggest Egos in History: Top Thirteen Infamously Egotistical People

(PCM) Did you ever wonder how someone with a tremendously huge ego could even fit their head through a doorway? A little bit of an ego never hurt anyone; being confident in oneself and one’s abilities are assets in life. But there are some people who just take it too far.

Narcissistic and self-involved, egotistical people are often (and unfortunately) not that easy to ignore. When they’re not talking about themselves, they’re often trying to re-work a conversation or situation so they can be the subject of interest. Throughout history, some of the worlds most infamous figures are those with some rather large egos.

Within this list are the thirteen figures that have somehow managed to not only make it through doors, but make a name for themselves as those who live in a perpetual state of in...

Signs the World Could End on December 21, 2012

(PCM) We all know by now that the Ancient Mayan calendar predicts that December 21, 2012 is the end of the world. Whether you take it as truth or not, it’s undeniably garnered attention and a countdown. This weekend is notable for both aspects as we say hello to the latest apocalypse film, “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World” and hit the 6-months-exactly mark on the Doomsday calendar.

Yes, sure, the end of the world has been predicted for a multitude of different years throughout history, but here are just a few signs that we’ve seen recently that could support the claim that maybe 12/21/12 is in fact the end of days:

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

And you thought Elizabeth and Darcy were perfect for one another! Let’s face it, those two don’t have anything on Kim and Kanye...

UFOs and Men In Black

(PCM) Most UFO observations are misidentified conventional objects or natural phenomena, often an experimental aircraft, balloons, funky clouds, astronomical objects like meteors or nearby bright planets and the occasional hoax. UFO enthusiasts prefer the term ‘ETV’ to describe an Extra Terrestrial Vehicle.

During World War II, pilots described them as ‘foo fighters.’ The term “UFO” was first used in 1952 by Cpt. Edward J. Ruppelt, who headed the Air Force’s ‘Project Blue Book’, the official U.S. Government investigation of UFOs. The often used term ‘flying saucer’ did not reflect the wide variety of sighting descriptions. Officially, they called the ‘you-foes’ although the common vernacular often calls them by the initials – U-F-O. Project Blue Book was officially closed in 1969...
