(PCM) It has been rumored for years that intelligent life forms exist in areas beyond our planet Earth and we have always been under the impression that it is quite egotistical of us living here on planet Earth to assume that no other intelligent life forms could possibly exist, however there has never been an concrete proof, that is until now.
Astronomers now claim that a series of strange new signals coming from various areas of outer space actually appear to indicate that other intelligent alien life forms are making an attempt to communicate with us and others as well. A paper titled “Discovery of peculiar periodic spectral modulations in a small fraction of solar type stars” was recently published in the Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and while the title may be a bit confusing to us, astronomers claim that the paper reveals a strong indication of intelligent life existing beyond the planet Earth.
The astronomers researched and analyzed 2.5 million stars and claim that 234 of those stars were giving off “strange modulations” which lead the astronomers to believe that those modulations are the cause of an alien species and not due to any sort of natural causes. In a paper written for the Independent, two of the astronomers said “We find that the detected signals have exactly the shape of an [extraterrestrial intelligence] signal predicted in the previous publication and are therefore in agreement with this hypothesis. The fact that they are only found in a very small fraction of stars within a narrow spectral range centered near the spectral type of the sun is also in agreement with the ETI (Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) hypothesis”.
The astronomers go on to explain that the new evidence discovered certainly does not give complete and utter proof that intelligent alien life forms exist, however with additional research this could be the case in the future. The Mark Zuckerberg and Stephen Hawking based project Breakthrough Listen, plans to provide funding and will soon start a more thorough investigation into the “strange modulations” coming from the 234 stars to see if any more concrete evidence can be revealed.
