(PCM) Archeologists in England have discovered the 700 year old remains of a couple that were holding hands at the time of their demise.
The male and female remains were discovered underneath the “lost chapel of St. Morell” in Leicestershire, England. Carbon-dating on the bones by the University of Leicestershire show that the remains of the lovers date back to the early 14th century.
There were also several other skeletal remains discovered under the chapel as well including a older male who appeared to be killed with some sort of sharp implement and another younger male buried in a pit with his legs raised to his chest. The archeologist’s feel that his death may have been caused by some type of disease at the time.
All of the skeletal remains have been removed for further testing to determine more information.
