(PCM) For those that may be interested, you can now view some fascinating footage of a lamb chop as it orbited the Earth. Haven’t you always wanted to see a lamb chop floating through space?
The idea to launch the lamb chop in to space was part of an effort to promote a book by Nikesh Shukla called “Meatspace” which looks at a generation of social media savvy people who have no clue about real life, which is referred to as “meatspace”.
Back in June, Shukla and three of his friends decided to launch a tandoori lamb chop strapped with a GoPro camera and a GPS tracker into space by attaching it to a helium weather balloon. The group lost contact with the lamb chop shortly after it was launched.
The group had thought that the project was over, but they have recently been about to recover the footage of the lamb chops journey some five months later. The tracker had been destroyed by the freezing cold temperatures near the Earth’s atmosphere, but the group was later contacted by a farmer about 82 miles away from the launch site who had found the camera in his fields.
The group was able to finally retrieve the camera and view the 100 minutes of amazing footage as the lamb chop made its’ way into the stratosphere.
