(PCM) A photo which shows Philadelphia Democratic congressman Bob Brady taking a sip of water from a drinking glass used by Pope Francis has been making it’s way around the internet. U.S. Rep Brady, a Catholic, made his way up to the lectern after Pope Francis had completed his speech to Congress members in Washington, D.C., and nabbed the Pope’s drinking glasses which still contained a good amount of water.
He took the glass of water back to his office and then had a sip and shared some with his wife Debra and two additional staff members. Brady claims his reasoning is simple, telling the Philadelphia Daily news “How many people do you know that drank out of the same glass as the Pope?”
Brady also shared the water with Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey, who along with his wife and mother all dipped their fingers into the water glass. Brady also saved the rest of the water that was left in the glass in a bottle to later use as a blessing for his four grandchildren and his great-granddaughter.
