(PCM) A California man by the name of Andes Carrasco filed a lawsuit against Adriana’s Insurance Service, Inc back in 2012, claiming he was physically assaulted by one of the company’s employees.
After the company was finally able to reach a settlement agreement with Carrasco in the amount of $21,000, they then decided to deliver the settlement funds in the form of a check and buckets and buckets of loose change including quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.
Mr. Carrasco is a 73-year old senior citizen and has recently had hernia surgery to his back, so he is unable to lift the many, many buckets that the insurance company so graciously delivered. In our opinion is was a move just to be rude and insensitive because they had to pay out the settlement cost. Ultimately it was a very childish move.
Many news outlets have been seeking comment from Adriana’s Insurance Service company as to why they delivered the settlement in that particular form, however they have been keep quiet.
As for Carrasco and his legal team, they now have the daunting task of trying to count out all of the loose change and be sure that it is deposited correctly. We wish him the best of luck!
