Most people would dream about turning on the faucets and having pure solid gold stream out, sounds like something out of a dream or fantasy, righ Well for one Whitehall, Montana couple that dream is kind of a reality and it could mean there is a larger issue brewing under the surface.
Mark Brown, revealed to the Montana news station that his wife Sharon was just finishing up doing the dishes when she noticed something that appeared a bit out of the ordinary. She called her husband to come check it out and sure enough, gold flakes were flowing out of his kitchen faucet. In fact, with additional checking the Brown’s discovered that there were gold flakes coming out of all of their facets, including the toilet tank.
After multiple tests it was confirmed that it was indeed pure gold that was coming out of the Brown’s water system. A neighbor of the Brown’s claims that he too is experiencing the gold coming out of his faucet and that is what is leading to quite a few questions about the safety of the town’s water supply. It is thought that if heavy metals such a gold are able to flow freely through the water supply, what other substances could possibly be in there as well?
The director of public works in Montana claims that there is nothing indicating any harm in the water supply, but we can certainly see why there would be a cause for concern. For now let’s just hope the families can gain some benefit from their gold flowing faucets and that this dream come true doesn’t turn into a true nightmare.
