(PCM) If you never thought that you would see an image of a raccoon riding on the back of an alligator, think again, because it has happened and there is photographic proof.
Richard Jones and his family were out on the search for alligators along the Oaklawaha River in Ocala, Florida when they caught the amazing spectacle right before their eyes. Jones’ son startled a raccoon that was hiding the the brush and it then proceeded to hop on the back of an alligator and take a little journey to escape.
Jones was able to capture a photo of the incident, which has quickly gone viral, before the raccoon quickly hopped off the gator. Glad he was a quick with photo capture, as it is truly a sight to behold!
The Oaklawaha River is located within the Ocala National Forest near Central Florida. It also happens to be the second-largest nationally protected forest in the state of Florida.
