(PCM) To promote the upcoming fifth season of the hit AMC television series “The Walking Dead” two London chefs have created their own human-flesh burgers.
The idea for the burgers formed from a collaboration between Chef James Tomlinson of London Mess and Miss Cakehead, who specialize is gory food creations. The human-flesh burgers will be available at a special pop-up restaurant called “Terminus Tavern” on September 30th.
If you are curious just how these chef’s got their human-flesh inspiration, rest assured they are not cannibals. They instead studies the accounts of actual well-known cannibals such as explorer William Seabrook and murderer Issei Sagawa. Still a little disturbing if you ask us!
Seabrook claimed that the taste of human flesh was “good, like fully developed veal, not young, but not yet beef.” Sagawa said that human flesh melted in his mouth “like raw tuna in a sushi restaurant.” Yuck!
To create that human-flesh flavor the chefs created a blend of pork, veal, bone marrow and chicken livers for the burgers. I think we would have to pass on these as they just sound too gross and disturbing. How about you? Would you try the human-flesh burger?
