(PCM) This is like something out of our worst nightmare! A man from Chile stepped onto an elevator and was suddenly taken on a terrifying wild ride as the elevator began malfunctioning.
We were assuming that the elevator dropped suddenly with the man on board, however this time the elevator sharply rose 31 floors in a 15 second time period with the doors wide open. It actually reached a speed of 50 mph! What makes this even more bizarre is that the elevator is located inside a building that was just finished about eight weeks ago.
Security camera footage inside the elevator shows the man’s terrifying ordeal, as you can see him desperately attempting to push buttons to make the elevator come to a halt. He ended up suffering head and leg injuries when the elevator eventually crashed into the buildings roof!
There has been no update in regards to the elevators inspection records or if it had indeed been malfunctioning prior to the incident.
