Man Sleeping In A Dumpster Survives A Trip Through The Trash Compactor

(PCM) A Oregon man is lucky to be alive after surviving a nightmare ordeal that ended with him being placed through trash compactor. 23-year old Mendez Perez was sleeping in a dumpster when it was picked up and emptied into a garbage truck during the early morning hours. The men operating the truck did not take notice of Perez sleeping inside the dumpster at the time.

Perez, as well as, several loads of cardboard, went through the garbage trucks trash compactor several time and the fact that he survived the ordeal and was not crushed to death is a true miracle. Perez was able to come out of the incident with only a broken leg and the hospital tells sources he is listed in “good” condition.

The truck driver said they only found out that Perez was trapped in the compactor due to the fact that he began yelling and throwing cardboard out of the back of the truck as it was driving down the highway. Trash compactors are responsible for several deaths each and every year, mostly due to not being operated properly. This may be one of the first incidents of someone who was sleeping in a dumpster accidentally being dropped inside.

Perez is a very lucky man! Let’s hope that after this incident he will rethink his sleeping arrangements or perhaps get himself into some sort of shelter.
