(PCM) A Pittsburgh area McDonald’s employee was arrested when undercover police officers caught her selling heroin in Happy Meal boxes in her local franchise.
The woman, 26-year old Shantia Dennis, was caught after the authorities conducted an undercover drug buy. Customers interested in purchasing the heroin were told to go through the restaurants drive-thru and when ordering simply say “I’d like to order a toy”. They would then be told to go to the first window, where they would pay and then be handed a Happy Meal box containing the heroin.
The Happy Meal box purchased by the undercover authorities contained ten stamped bags of heroin and they later recovered 50 more bags and some marijuana when Dennis was arrested.
Dennis is charged with two counts of possession, one count of criminal use of a communication facility, one count of prohibited acts of delivery and one count of possession with intent to deliver.
So far the McDonald’s store has failed to comment on the situation. Looks like Dennis’s next few meals will definitely not be quite so happy!
