Seattle Dog Takes The Bus Alone To The City Dog Park

(PCM) A black Labrador mix named Eclipse from the Seattle area, loves the city’s dog park so much that she will often times hop on the public transit bus and ride there all by herself.

Her owner Jeff Young claims that the habit started one day when he was taking too long to finish a cigarette and Eclipse just hopped on the bus a rode to the dog park without him. Ever since then it has become Eclipse’s habit. Sometimes she is with her owner and sometimes she is not.

All of the city bus drivers know her and commuters claim that Eclipse rides the bus sitting in a seat just like a person. Her owner Young also says that Eclipse will get on the bus without him and then he will catch up with her later on at the dog park. She picks up the bus right in front of their home and then hops off at the dog park about three or four stops later.

Young also says that about once a week he will get a phone call from a local business in the area telling him that they have found his dog and he has to explain to them that she is just fine and knows what she is doing while heading to the park.

A representative for the transit company says that they enjoy having Eclipse as a rider, but definitely feel that she would be safer with her owner and a leash along for the trip.
