(PCM) We may think that sea lions look all cute and innocent, but one should keep in mind that they are still wild animals and should probably think twice before getting too up close and personal. What starts out as an unassuming tourist video shot by Michael Fujiwara at Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf, in Richmond, British Columbia, actually manages to capture the terrifying moment when a young girl is grabbed by a giant sea lion and pulled off the wharf and into the water below.
Thankfully no one was injured during the ordeal and another man immediately jumped into the water to rescue the young girl. We can only imagine that she was pretty shook up after the incident. You can see the video that the sea lion appears to be searching for food, which tourists toss into the water, the sea lion pops his head out of the water to see if the young girl has food, which she does not and then when her back is turned and she is still on the wharf, the sea lion then decided to leap out of the water, grab the young girl by the shirt and pull her into the body of water below.
